1. Washing Bedding Sets
- First Wash: We recommend washing new duvet covers and pillowcases inside out before first use on a gentle 30°C or 40°C cycle to set the fibers and soften the fabric.
- Detergents: Use mild color-safe liquid detergents. Avoid chlorine bleach or heavy optical brighteners, which weaken cotton and microfiber fibers over time.
- Fastenings: Always fasten buttons or zip up duvet cover closures before placing items into your washing machine to prevent snagging during spin cycles.
2. Drying & Ironing
- Tumble Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting to prevent fiber shrinkage. Remove promptly while slightly damp to minimize wrinkles.
- Line Drying: Drying outdoors on a washing line in a gentle breeze gives sheets a naturally fresh feel and saves household energy.
- Ironing: If desired, iron on the reverse side using a warm iron setting appropriate for the fabric blend (cotton or polyester).
3. UK Bedding Sizing Guide
- Single: Duvet cover 135 x 200 cm (with 1 pillowcase 50 x 75 cm).
- Double: Duvet cover 200 x 200 cm (with 2 pillowcases 50 x 75 cm).
- King Size: Duvet cover 230 x 220 cm (with 2 pillowcases 50 x 75 cm).
- Super King: Duvet cover 260 x 220 cm (with 2 pillowcases 50 x 75 cm).
